Blaze let his siblings bury him at Casperson Beach! He is such a great sport!
The kids learned a lot at the Mote Aquarium since we hadn't been to an aquarium on the east coast before. The fish and marine life are very different from what you find in CA, or HI. Although, they have tracked sea horses migrating from FL to HI! So amazing! I think one of their favorite things was coloring a picture in the Wild Kratz exhibit to put on their animation board.
We went to a Wild Cat Sanctuary and saw a Liger, several lions, bears, birds, tortoises mating (disturbing), a couple of shows, and Blaze got to hold an alligator.
I think at least a third of the worlds population of sea gulls were hanging out at Siesta Key! The sky was black with them at night, and there were so many hanging out in clusters on the sand. I loved walking the beach every evening and morning, and I was surprised that I never got pooped on!
The Saunders were vacationing in Clearwater, a little north of us, and came down to join us at the beach on day! It was so much fun to have Austin playing with the boys, and for me to catch us to Kristi! The snorkeling on Point of Rocks on Siesta Key beach was great!
We toured the Ringling Art museums and around the beautiful grounds.
Of course, our little monkeys were very excited to see banyon trees!
This picture reminds me of one we took when Blaze had just turned 2, at Coronado Beach in San Diego. He hasn't ever been afraid of letting sand get in his way of having fun at the beach! After we had been back in UT for a few days, he said that he still had sand in his hair!
The sunsets were fabulous! The weather was in the mid 80's, the ocean felt like bath water. I kept asking myself why I don't live in FL! Would I ever get tired of the warm weather and the beach? I'm thinking I never would!
