Welcome 2018!

This was the first year that Paul and Jackson went to hang out with friends rather than ring in the New Year with family! So Blaze, Alanna, James, and I played games all night and did Christmas Crackers at midnight in our warm cozy house! Each person in our family received a new game for Christmas, so we had several new games to play. We also used our new waffle cone maker and the cones are so delicious that I could just eat the cones by themselves!

Baby Quinn...

Mark Bartlett had his reception here in UT a few days after Christmas, and getting to see the Bartlett family was one of the highlights of the holiday! Especially since I got to meet baby Quinn who was only six weeks old! Shamay let me hold her for at least a couple of hours while she slept and cooed and she's the sweetest baby! It's so fun to see their family with a baby girl. I wish we had taken some better pictures, but the reception was dark! We also got to drive down to the reception with Caleb and Presley, so it was really fun to get to hang out with them too! There are some benefits of living in UT...we get to see lots of friends who pass through!

Christmas at the Perx 2017...

Finding the pickle in the tree is always a much anticipated game! The kids made off with loads of change from the money jar.

Miss Presley is so photogenic!

Little donkey for the nativity

Great Gran was Mary

The three kings with very fancy hats from India

The narrator couldn't get the Perkins family to sing the carols included in the nativity script...maybe next year!

Peter wrote his cousins a story entitled "The Unusual Cousin". Blaze has it on his windowsill and reads it still.

Blaze got a dress up kit from his grandparents so now he can deviate from being a Power Ranger!

Christmas Day at Home 2017...

Alanna was really into Legos again this year and got a Ski Chalet from us, and a Ski Resort with a working lift from Grandma Ce-Ce and Poppy!

We are going to Southern California for a Williamson Family reunion in June, so the kids got tickets to visit California Adventure during that time since we've never been there before!

The most exciting, much awaited for gift...and Xbox! Now they can play Halo with their uncles and friends, and I have something they really care about to use as leverage!

Alanna wanted her own basketball just like her brothers, and green continues to be her favorite color

She was super excited about her own bag of Baby Bell cheese too...she willingly shared it with everyone though!

Blaze was probably most excited about this "balance bird" that cost less than $5! Everyone was pretty mesmerized by its abilities to balance anywhere

Jackson played Jr. Jazz for the first time ever this season! He really enjoys it, and that meant he needed basketball shoes and socks

Alanna got James some forbidden soda

Halo...Paul's favorite gift

Pokémon cards to trade with the kids at school

I may have found a dress that Alanna will actually wear!

All of the kids got an Echo Dot which will answer just about any question, plays music, and best of all, acts as an intercom so the kids can stay up late in bed chatting!

Alanna's most favorite present was probably a pack of her own fuzzy socks! She is a girl who appreciates comfort!

Blaze got a cool set of Kinnex which allow you to build a contraption that moves on battery power

I had to get a picture with each of the kids and what they gave me for Christmas because I'm hardly in any pictures...I'm the photographer! I appreciate how well they know me and they did a great job picking out gifts I'd love!

Alanna has really taken an interest in drawing lately...she's got some Perkins blood in her after all. But it's still not MY Perkins blood!
