Welcome Baby Bode!

Gran's Birthday 2018...

Gran loves chocolate cake, and I love experimenting with decorating cakes. I now realize that I used the wrong piping tip to make these flowers. Oh well, it did taste good!

It was fun to see Gran so lively and enjoying her great grandchildren. I even got a video of her dancing in her chair to "Apple Bottom Jeans"! 

Lagoon 2018...

Time for James' annual Lagoon work party...one of the most famous theme parks in the US, yeah right! I had to be forced to go. This is one of my least favorite places to be. And the free dinner is what drives James, and it's horrible food!

We waited in line for the Ferris Wheel for quite a while

We rode the bumper cars a couple of times and Blaze wanted to be my partner both times! I'm the favorite!

This crazy bunch chose to go on the Cliff Hanger ride at the end of the night when it had really cooled off, and they got soaking wet. Alanna and I could hear James screaming on the ride because he was so cold! We just took Blaze's drenched shirt off and threw it away and wrapped him up in a warm hoodie. The other two had to tough it out and freeze. They'll probably be ready to do it all over again next year, because they never learn!

Labor Day Campout...

Luke's family camped in the grandparent's backyard with us for Labor Day. We discovered a tree on the other side of the creek with delicious little plums that we spent hours picking and eating. I asked Mom if they knew they were there, and they have been there for years. I don't know how I've missed out on them for the past 20 years!

Jackson and Paul both bought hammocks this summer and take every opportunity to use them. They are quite relaxing!

Camping in the backyard is the best of both worlds! We got to use bathrooms and had electricity to make yummy waffles for breakfast!

Fun around Day Break...

The night before we had scheduled family pictures, we went and scoped out the scenery around Day Break Lake to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted.
