Hike to Cecret Lake...

This hike was gorgeous at the height of the wildflower season! I took hundreds of pictures.
Experiences like this remind us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful state!

Peter Perkins' 8th birthday...

Peter chose to have a Chronicles of Narnia party and Luke decorated their house with the lamppost , a hand drawn poster of Tumnus, tons of snow flakes, etc. He is so talented!

All of the kids got knight vests and played water balloon games and tag and had a great time.

Little Charlie just couldn't stop talking about how we were going to eat "Chocolate Bundt Cake"! I love this kid! I took so many pictures of his chocolate covered hands and face...he was really savoring his treat!

Random summer pics...

We had so much fun working as a family to complete this candy puzzle. James got way into it and stayed up until 2am working on it one time!

Delicious roasted veggies that I was so excited to eat! The kids didn't share my enthusiasm.

It wouldn't be summer without the Jello pops. James said these are one of his favorite desserts. Really James? He also says that dinner rolls are tacky.

Alanna got to go to a boy scout camp with the activity day girls. She had the time of her life and even got to spend some money on a couple of necklaces at the trading post.

I loved sitting on the deck at night and enjoying the fireworks, warm air, stars, and most of all the sunsets!

Laumbonderson Float Trip...

This year we had a "party boat" and a "relaxing boat". You could guess who was on which boat! The party boat had music and dancing and falling into the river while the relaxing boat had stimulating conversation without being squirted in the face with river water! I think this is how we will keep doing things! We had a delicious dutch oven dinner at the park after our river ride. I love that we have these Loumbonderson summer traditions!

Days of 24 Float Party...

Our second annual cousin float party! The kids loved getting their face painted, sword balloon fights, and voting on their favorite float. We went to Scheels afterward to ride the Ferris Wheel and get ice cream too!
