St. George Trip 2017!

We went down to St. George for Alanna's dance competition, and lucky us, the Palmers moved to St. George and were able to hang out with us lots! We miss them so much, and it's so fun to see how quickly we all reconnected! They took us to hike "The Crack" that is located somewhere in the Rock Gardens. It induced quite a feeling of claustrophobia for me, especially when James got stuck for a minute and I thought we may have to grease him up to pull him out of the rocks!

We also played at the St. George Children's Museum and loved watching how comfortable Pyper is expressing herself with her creative dancing! She tried to coax Alanna into performing also, but she never quite warmed up to the idea.

I can't say how much I really wish that the Palmers still lived across the street and that these boys could still hang out together everyday! They have so much in common and are such sweet boys!

James loves Maryann too, so he didn't mind tagging along with us for the day and reminiscing about the time he thought he was prank calling his sister but was really talking to Maryann and didn't even know it!

It's been 10 years since we moved to UT and Maryann came over to introduce herself while I was taking the garbage out in the garage. Little did I know we would become such close friends!

Cutest kids ever! They slipped through that crack without a hitch!
Somebody ate one too many donuts for breakfast on the wrong morning!

Jazz game...

Once in a while James will show up to work and they are giving out Jazz tickets on a first come first serve basis. I love the games, and the kids love all the other hoopla that goes on in the arena ! I especially love sitting next to Blaze and hearing his commentary on the game...he's really starting to understand the game. He also wants to be a Jazz player when he grows up, because they make lots of money!

St. Patrick's Day Dinner 2017...

St. Patrick's day dinner complete with "Rainbow seeds" (Skittles), "Leprechaun Poop" ( colored marshmallows), and Pots of Gold (Rolos). Of course, it was all gone by the end of the night, except for the few Skittles I finally hid! It was also Cache's 4th birthday, and Caleb made him a monsterous Monster Truck Cake! It was pretty awesome and tasted really good...too good! He left the whole thing at our house and we couldn't stop eating it! I love being close enough to family to be able to celebrate special events!

St. Patty's Day art...

Blaze had fun drawing pictures of tricky leprechauns and making colored salt pictures of 4 leaf clovers! It's been a rough year since he's still home for 1/2 the day while all of his friends and siblings are at school. I haven't been very good about entertaining him because I have a list of chores everyday, but there have been a few times I feel like he's been happy with some projects we've come up with!

Alanna's braiding

Alanna has discovered the fun of braiding, and is constantly wanting to French Braid my hair! She has practiced on herself also, and will master that soon too! She has hardly ever let me touch her hair, so it's a bit ironic that she's always wanting to do my hair. And I usually let her!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday Celebration...

Jackson used his artistic talents to make some Grinch Punch

Cat in the Hat Skewers and Cat in the Hat String Cheese

I love that even though the boys are getting older, they still remind me and look forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss day with the family. I love that they are all old enough to read a Dr. Seuss book out loud for us all to hear!

Honor roll...

Yay! Jackson was awarded with this certificate in the mail because he earned higher than a 3.5 GPA!
