Perkins Halloween Party 2017...

I put up a slide show of our Halloween parties over the years, and the kids really loved looking at pictures of themselves when they were younger!

Caleb brought a really fun mystery game where you put your hand in a covered bowl, and we had to guess if the cow part he named was real or not. Things like scrambled eggs were said to be cow brains! But he really did put a cow liver and cow intestines in there! Gross! At least they were cooked!

A zombie can't pass up organs for dinner!

Paul was dared to keep those intestines in he mouth for 15 seconds. He did it, and Caleb awarded him with a pack of candy bars! It wouldn't be worth it for me! 

Jackson was the biggest pig in the kids' pie eating contest!

Luke, once again, was the biggest pig in the adult pie eating contest!

Paul's Arrow Of Light...

Paul earned his Arrow of Light back in May when he moved up to 11 year old scouts, but they waited to award the boys until October so several of them could be presented with it together! It's hard to believe that we will have a brief gap in scouting until Blaze turns 8!

Phoenix Day #4...

Alex gave us some delicious bread and croissants from her work! She gets free stuff on Saturday nights to bring home!

The kids were pretty memorized by all of the cacti in AZ, and they asked Andrew to teach them to draw one. They all did a great job following his artistic expert advice. And I learned something new...you should not sign your work. Your work should be your recognizable signature!

Luke has become a professional pumpkin carver...he literally was paid $250/night to carve pumpkins at an event this year! He told us that an expert pumpkin carver lives in AZ and there were several displays in Carefree, AZ at the Enchanted Garden. It was so cool to see all of the creative work, and I took pictures of everything I could to show Luke! 

We also went to a lake to try out Blaze's new kayak he got for his birthday. We hauled it all the way to AZ, because unfortunately, UT got cold early here and Blaze wasn't ever to use his birthday present here. The water was really warm and we had fun watching Andrew paddle board and fall into the lake fully clothed! 

It was so hard to say goodbye not knowing when we will see Andrew again! So we decided that going to AZ for fall break should become a tradition!
