This Christmas was a little bit different since we were all at home because of covid-19. We still had lots of fun and many memorable experiences!
Blaze's number one request was The Game of Life! I love how excited he was over a $20 game!
Blaze and Alanna both got mountain bikes from Santa, in the hopes that they will ride them in the trails by our house.
One of my friends had given me a stress ball type toy shaped like a banana...it's an inside joke. Of course, they kids loved playing with it all day long. Right before dinner I wanted to get some family shots in from of the tree, so I set up a timer on my phone and took several. It was hours later that I looked at the pictures and saw that Blaze made every one of them awkward!
This year we had an Italian Lasagna dinner, which is traditional in Italy. For dessert, we read my favorite Christmas Story, The Little Shepherd, and had a simple lemon cake that is described to have been shared with Christ.
The kids all bought each other gifts from the Dollar Store. As usual, it was mostly junk food. They get to open sibling gifts on Christmas Eve, and they really love to tear into all of their treats!
I was so excited to get this Grogu Lego set for Blaze because we had just finished watching the latest season of the Mandalorian as a family, and I think Grogu is adorable!
Blue tooth speakers for each of these kids probably wasn't a great idea on my part because we just listen to conflicting noise around the house, but they are happy!
James has been using a free phone he got back in 2015 that he can't even take pictures with or have more than a few apps because it only had 4G of memory. I bought him a new phone not knowing what his reaction would be since he refused to purchase one for himself. He has loved it though, and love being able to get a hold of him and have him use his phone to take pictures! This new phone is an S9, and much more than 4G of memory!
The Gunnells gave us this cool picture collage from our trip together to Cancun! Blaze is our puzzle man, and he couldn't wait to get it put together!
Paul's number one request was a white board for his room (which he makes to do lists on), and he wanted a foosball table! Jackson got a trip to HEFY, and he will be serving in the Dominican Republic this summer!
My favorite gift was this bracelet from Paul, that is engraved with "Mom" on it. Not only did he pick a very thoughtful, real gold, beautiful bracelet, he never calls me Mom, so that is extra special!!
