The kids each got to decorate their own mini cake with the airbrush kit! It was really fun watching them get so excited about picking out colors and designs, and they were so proud of their creations.
Alanna's cake really looked like a Princess Cake!
We had our traditional meal of pizza, pasta salad, and bread sticks. And a smorgasbord of candy: buckeyes, chocolate covered cherries, sugar cookies, cake, and cupcakes from the Johnsons!
Blaze makes the best faces...especially when he's excited about something he's eating!
I made two batches of these heart cookies and stenciled designs on with the airbrush kit. It was fun delivering them to my Primary kids too! The next Sunday they couldn't wait to say thanks and tell me how they gobbled up their cookies! I am really loving being a Primary teacher and getting to connect with 8 kids instead of doing all the administrative Primary work!
Jackson drew this Yoda for his Valentine Box! I keep saying it...but his artwork truly amazes me!
Paul is still obsessed with Darth Vader. I don't know if I should be worried about that...I guess he does end up being a "good guy" in the end!
Alanna had the idea to make this cute owl bag and did it all by herself. She was SO proud!
My Star Wars Sunglasses!

This has to be one of the best gifts I've ever received! I was dying laughing just when I saw the bag Michelle made! I have been obsessed with Star Wars since the 7th movie "Force Awakens" came out a few months ago. I've seen it 3 times in the theatre...with James the second day it was out, with the whole family over Christmas break, and then with Michelle in IMAX 3-D! And Michelle and I have been trying to figure out who Rae belongs to by reading articles etc.! I'm so glad I have her to talk to, because I've even been nerding out James! And I've got a crush on Han Solo, and I love Chewie...so does Alanna! She really wants to hug him, and it's so cute the way she talks about him. The other night she was asking if Chewie is married and has a family, and James answered "No". Wrong! I've read lots on Chewie, so I corrected James and told the kids about how Chewie has a family, but Han saved his life and he pledged to stick with Han to pay him back etc. You should have seen the look on James's face! I'm really starting to scare him! I think he was a little bit jealous that I actually knew more about Star Wars than he did! I just can't wait until the next movie comes out...I'm dying to know if my theories about the mysteries of the latest movie are true! And I can't wait to wear these glasses in public and embarrass James the way he's embarrassed me for the past 16 years with his dorky Anikin shirt!

James got me the sterling roses I love (at least they are a similar color as the sterling roses that I love:)
