What did you say????

I need to start recording some funny things that the boys say, just for my own enjoyment to look back on later.

Lately, Paul has been going around the house saying "dot.com" over and over again like the jingle from the Expedia.com commercials. He's at that age where silly things like that are soooo funny to him! And of course, this prompted James to go over all the web endings (I know that isn't the correct terminology he used, but he isn't around to ask) with the boys: .org, .edu, etc.) So now, we listen to them both randomly reciting them throughout the day.

Yesterday I bought vanilla wafers at the grocery store and told the boys I was going to use them to make a banana dessert. My deprived kids have never had vanilla wafers before, the only store bought "cookie" I buy are graham crackers. Anyhow, later on in the day, Jackson asked if he could try the "banana wipers"! It's was just too hard not to laugh hysterically when he asked so seriously!

Friends from BYU 198...

This past week we had the privilege of attending our good friend, Scott and wife Cara's wedding reception. The weather here was perfect, something that is pretty iffy during the month of April in Utah. The couple looked so beautiful and joyful, and we are so happy for them. The wedding photographer seemed to like Alanna, so they may end up with about 20 pictures of this baby they probably won't be able to identify since they only met our kids briefly!




We also got to see our friend JC, from BYU. It's been about 6 1/2 years since we have seen him, and since then he has picked up a beautiful wife and very energetic daughter who looks just like him! It was really good to catch up with him and talk about memories from BYU. When James saw JC, the first thing he did was walk up and pinch his stomach and told him he's fat. JC, likewise, grabbed James's stomach and repeated the same. Girls just would't ever, ever, in a million years do anything remotely close to that! If it had been someone we didn't know so well, I would have been so embarrassed! Boys...!

On the left is JC's wife, and on the right is "Vinyl Pants Hillary"! We were roommates and oddly had two Hillarys in the same house, so this Hillary was associated with her vinyl pants she wore to social functions. She stayed with us for a few days, and my boys are going through with drawls! Hillary is such a fun, generous, and caring person! So generous, in fact, that she gave us some of her beloved Tillamook cheese! I'm looking forward to seeing her again at our roommate reunion this summer! I just can't believe it's been 9 years since I graduated from BYU! Before I know it, I'll be sending Jackson there for college!

My Handsome boys!

Grandma Ce-Ce and Poppy gave the boys kites for Easter. Yesterday was the perfect day for kite flying - warm and windy! They loved watching their turtle and gecko soar into the air. Luckily, we have many parks around with wide open spaces for kite flying. Our backyard wouldn't do!

















Our little bunny rabbits enjoyed making bunny faces and bunny noises to go with their hat! Paul and Jackson took it very seriously - it was pretty cute!



Jacko is looking so old! I can't believe he will soon be 5 years old and starting Kindergarten!

Poor Paul got a sunburn this past week. I am a bad, bad mommy! We had one nice day and hung out at the park for a couple of hours and he got toasted. I guess I'm just not in the summer mode of slathering the kids in sunscreen every time we go out -yet! I'm hoping things will change soon.




My little clowns love each other so much, and we love them! We are so lucky to have such happy, healthy, and smart little kids!

My Beautiful Angel

I borrowed my friend, Maryann's, camera and took over 200 pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. Grandma Leslie got them for the kids, and they all loved their new Sunday clothes. Although I think that every single one of those 200 pictures are precious, I'll spare everyone else and just share my favorites!






This has been Alanna's favorite position for over a month now. She gets on her hands and knees and rocks, or stretches out to reach a toy, and then gracefully goes back to a sitting position. I keep waiting for her to crawl away, but it hasn't happened yet!

Traditionally, we have given each of our kids a marshmallow peep on Easter since they have all been around 9 months old or more. Jackson and Paul just didn't know what to do with theirs since the taste of sugar was foreign to them. Although they quickly caught on to my favorite food group, at first they didn't want to have anything to do with it. However, Alanna has been fed sugar since she was about 4 months old, and this was just like her daily dose of a sweet treat. She shoved it right into her mouth for a few bites, and then had fun squishing the marshmallow through her chubby little fingers. I have no doubt that she is going to inhale her first birthday cake in a few months!

Visit from the Willies!

This past weekend, James's parents and two brothers were in town for Conference weekend. We also got to host two of their friends, Maria and Katie, from England! It was fun to talk to them about the new things they saw here, and we fed them plenty of sweets! James's brother Chris, and his wife Lynsey, and baby Kaia also stayed here to be able to spend more time with the family. Of course, our house was a bit chaotic, but it was so fun to spend time with family that we don't see too often. James took our boys and his brothers up to Snowbird on Friday for boarding/skiing. There was tons of fresh powder and it was constantly snowing throughout the day. It made snowboarding for the boys a little difficult, but they were good sports and enjoyed showing off for the grandparents still! It also made for some good stories from James's teenage brothers' about getting themselves on a double black diamond and being buried in snow! I guess there's a good reason their mother wants them to stick to skiing for a while before learning to snowboard! As usual, with a full house and kids running around, I didn't get to take in as much of conference as I would have liked. Thank goodness for the Internet and Ensign though - I will be doing some catch-up!

Grandpa Joe always likes to teach the babies to stick out their tongue! Paul also learned that when everyone else says "NO", turn to Grandpa Joe. He weaseled several cookies, Hi-C fruit punch for breakfast, and all the peanuts he could handle by utilizing this method!








Can you just see how much these two adore each other? And would you believe that James gave his little 6 month old niece, Kaia, some cookie to snack on? No surprise really! He's been waiting to get get back at Chris and Lynsey for spoiling our kids with so much candy, that Jackson actually threw up on one occasion! They aren't the only Aunts and Uncles who have some pay back coming either!




These two beautiful cousins, Kaia and Alanna are only about 10 weeks apart. Lynsey and I have a hard time telling their cries and little baby sounds apart. They definitely exhibit many of the same Williamson genes! It will be interesting to watch them grow up together! They both loved watching Jackson and Paul tear through the house on their big bouncy balls!
