End of the School Year...

Paul has been beyond lucky to have Miss Kimberly for a teacher for the past three years! She has figured out how to motivate him in math and writing, and she always sees the best in him! Their classroom fosters an environment of creativity and respect, and i have loved this experience for Paul!I got so emotional at the graduation ceremony hearing Kimberly and some of Paul's classmates talk about Paul and how funny he is etc. I got it on video!

Jackson has been one of Paul's best friends at school. It's sad that they won't be together next year.

Alanna with her best friend Lucy!! I don't know if I have many pictures of Alanna not in her unicorn poop shirt!

Paul is 12!!

We invited the available Perkins' over to celebrate Paul' birthday! He chose pizza rocks and Lemon Raspberry Triffle!

Jackson and Alanna decorated the basement beautifully for his celebration! Jackson also gave Paul one of his clay creations he made at school...it's a rain stick! Luke gave Paul some head phones to use for his Xbox. We gave him $100, and a few of his favorite things: dried mangos from Costco, a case of Propel, and some brownie bites!

Grandma Ce Ce and Poppy got Paul a new bike, and he has taken every opportunity he can to ride on it!

It didn't occur to me that turning 12 meant Paul gets to pass the Sacrament now! It was such a weird thing to see Jackson AND Paul passing together! I'm so happy to have another worthy Priesthood holder in the house!

Lane Peirce's 42nd Birthday!!

Lane has been obsessed with a series called Riverdale, which is based on the Archie comics. His favorite girl it Betty, so I put Betty's head on this Bikini Cake!

I expected Lane to be surprised and a little embarrassed by the cake, but his reaction far exceeded my expectations! We got it on video, and he kept saying "oh my word, oh my word. Are you trying to make me have bad thoughts on my birthday?!" Brita was red from laughing at Lane so hard, and she couldn't understand how he would ever be attracted to a cake! He asked her how she would feel it she got a similar cake with a guy in thong stuffed with a hot dog or something! We love Lane!!

weekend Events...

James and Alanna had a daddy daughter date for activity days. They had dinner and made each made a painting! They had so much fun!!

Paul made some Leige waffles with from scratch chocolate pudding and berries. Yum!

Alanna had a dance recital in Orem, For our lunch break, she wanted Two Jacks pizza and cheese sticks! And we got to eat right by the Provo City Center Temple, and then we walked around the BYU campus and enjoyed all of the blooming flowers and trees. Walking around campus always makes me feel so nostalgic for my college days! i will always love it!

My first Pavlova...topped with Nutella and berries. I've wanted to make one for years and have just never got around to it. It was easy and SO delicious!!

Mother's Day weekend...

Alanna and her cute friend Lucy making Jello-O for their genius hour project at school! They flavored it with grape juice, but colored it red to see if they could trick their classmates into thinking it was a different flavor!

This was my Mother's Day highlight! Caleb gave me flowers and this sweet card, and he is an amazing brother! James "forgot" it was Mother's Day. And I was cooking for hours to take food over to my parent's house to celebrate, so I was feeling a little underappreciated by my family. This was perfect! And this is why I haven't ever missed having sisters...I have the best brothers I could ever hope for!

May the 4th Be With You!

I surprised the kids with Star Wars Muddy Buddy mix for breakfast to celebrate the day! There were red and blue M&M's in it to make it festive for Star Wars. I jokingly told James that he should have his with milk, and he did!

Our big Activity Days camp theme this year was "May the Faith Be With You"! It was so fun to see the girls sword fighting with their pool noodle light sabers, and compete in the Jedi Training Course. James was a champ and strung all of the Tie Fighters up on the ceiling of the gym, and all of us had a fun night blowing up TONS of balloons to make the decorations. We borrowed lots of vintage Star Wars toys to decorate each room with too, but I didn't get pictures of that. The girls all said they had so much fun being active, and the leaders enjoyed the fun activity as well. I'm blessed to work with such awesome ladies in our stake!!
